Clarius Cloud offers multiple roles for users belonging to an institution.
- Administrator
- Owner(s) of the institution
- Clinician
- Users with limited access within institution
- Observer
- Access to only raw images within an institution

IMPORTANT: When a new institution is created upon claiming a new Scanner, the user signed into the App is automatically assigned the Administrator role within the new institution.
Making a User an Administrator
Any Administrators within an institution can change a non-Administrator user to an Administrator by following these steps:
- Sign in to Clarius Cloud.
- Click on My Institution (** see below for mobile users) to go to your most recently viewed institution. If you are in more than one institution, you may need to switch to a different institution. Click on Users in the institution menu.
- Select the User you would like to edit. This will bring up the User account page.
- Select the Assign Admin Role button and select confirm to change the user.
- If you do not see the Assign Admin Role button, the user is already an admin of the institution. You can see who is an admin by filtering the User list from the Users page.
Revoking Administrator Privileges
Note: Only the institution's Administrator(s) can revoke another administrator role.
- Sign in to Clarius Cloud.
- Click on My Institution (** see below for mobile users) to go to your most recently viewed institution. If you are in more than one institution, you may need to switch to a different institution. Click on Users in the institution menu.
- Select the User you would like to edit. This will bring up the User account page.
- Click on Remove Admin Role and click Confirm to change the user.
- If you do not see the Revoke Admin Role Button, the user is not an administrator of the institution. You can see who is an admin by filtering the User list from the Users page.
