The Clarius scanners can take up to 30 seconds to power up and prepare for imaging. There are 3 settings in the App that can be configured in order to minimize the boot to imaging time.
- Auto Connect
- Enabled by default
- If enabled, the App tries to boot and connect to the last selected scanner upon launching App (battery must be plugged into scanner).
- Auto Boot
- Disabled by default
- If enabled, boots the scanner as soon as the battery is inserted.
- Saves having to press the physical power button (HD scanners) or wait for the App to open or connect to the scanner.
- Wi-Fi Search
- Disabled by default
- If enabled, runs a search to pick the best wireless band.
- Typically adds 5 seconds to boot when enabled.

Mobile Device Wi-Fi Connection
Most mobile devices take approximately 3 - 5 seconds to connect to a wireless network. When connecting to the scanner's Wi-Fi, this process generally automated, however it should be stated that different platforms require different potential interactions.
iOS
Since iOS 11 (now minimum version required by the Clarius App), a pop-up confirmation is shown each time the iOS device is trying to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Prior to iOS 11, users had to manually enter the iOS system settings to connect to the network.
Android
Since Android 10, a pop-up confirmation will be shown only for the very first time a new Wi-Fi network is being connected to, subsequent attempts are automated without user confirmation. Prior to Android 10, no confirmation is necessary.
