Charge the battery to 100% the first time using your Clarius Ultrasound Scanner.
Because the Clarius Ultrasound Scanner is battery-operated, you must recharge the battery when it is depleted. If the battery is to remain unused for over a month, keep the charge level between 40% and 50% to prolong its life, and store it in temperatures between -20°C (-4°F) and 20°C (68°F). An empty battery takes up to approximately 90 minutes to fully charge.
Clarius first-generation Scanners and Clarius HD Scanners
A full Clarius first-generation battery has approximately 45 minutes of scanning time while a full Clarius HD battery has approximately 60 minutes of scanning time. Both generations have over 7 days in sleep mode.
Note: Never charge Clarius batteries in a charger not provided by Clarius Mobile Health, this could permanently damage your battery.
- Connect the line cord of the AC power adapter to an indoor electrical outlet.
- Connect the AC power adapter to the receptacle on the battery charger. Ensure the cable is well inserted in the charger.
- Remove the battery from the Clarius Ultrasound Scanner.
- Insert the battery into the battery charger slot.
- When the battery is fully charged, all four LEDs will be lit up. Each of the 4 LEDs represents approximately 25% charge (ie: 25, 50, 75, 100)
- Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.
Clarius HD3 Scanners
Because the Clarius Scanner HD3 is battery-operated, you must recharge its built-in battery when necessary. An empty battery takes approximately 1 ½ hours to fully charge. A fully charged battery gives you approximately 45 minutes of typical scanning time.
Note: Charge the Clarius Scanner HD3 using only the HD3 Charger.
- Clean and disinfect the scanners before placing them in the Charger.
- Connect the Micro USB cable to the Charger.
- Connect the USB A to the power supply.
- Insert the AC male plug into a power source.
NB: For best results, use the power cord and wall adapter provided by Clarius. Third party wall adapters and cords may not allow for a sufficient charge. - Place the scanner into the Charger. The triple concentric "C" Clarius logo should face you when the scanner is placed properly in the charger.
The scanner LED indicates the charge level of the battery in the scanner:
- Red: 0 – 30%
- Orange: 30 – 65%
- Blue: 65 – 95%
- Green: 95%+
