Since using multiple scanners means the Clarius App will show more than one scanner on the selection page, it is important to know which scanner is being selected as well as which Wi-Fi network to switch to on the mobile device. A few simple procedures can make scanning in workshops and training sessions much simpler to reduce any setup time.
1. Instead of using multiple Wi-Fi Direct networks, setting up a simple router and configuring all the mobile devices and scanners to connect to it can ensure that all equipment will automatically be on the same network upon boot-up. Clarius has tested up to 10 scanners running simultaneously on a single Wi-Fi network.
2. Place a small colored sticker on each scanner, and then in Clarius Cloud, set the friendly name with the color code, i.e. "Yellow L7". This will make it more apparent when selecting a specific Scanner from the App.
3. If there are performance issues during scanning (if all the scanners are connected to the same Wi-Fi channel), ensure to enable Wi-Fi Search from the App's settings page.
